My name is Carmen Alfaro and I’ve been meditating for over 10 years. It first began as I tried out yoga…actually I went in trying to learn Tai Chi, but the yoga classes were included, so I gave yoga a try.

I had never done yoga before, and from the first class I was completely relaxed!

Before going in for my first yoga class, I was extremely stressed out (my neck was so tight I could barely move it from left to right).

It was wonderful being able to move my body around, but my favorite part of the class was towards the end, where we were able to meditate. This allowed my mind to have a sense of peace that was desperately needed in my life.

Later on I found the love of my life! Thanks to him I was introduced to Buddhism. I loved the meditation that I learned in my yoga class, however, the meditation techniques and teachings that I learned in Buddhism went even deeper.

This was a life changing experience, and I knew that meditation was going to be a part of my life forever!

From then on I’ve travel the world going to different meditation retreats with great spiritual masters such as Eckhart Tolle, Adyashanti, Venerable Kelsang Gyatso and more.

I don’t consider myself a religious person, but rather a spiritual person who is open to receive help and guidance from the universe.

Calm your mind, heal the world…

We live in a very busy and fast-paced world. So it really helps to have your own meditation room or even a meditation corner in your home, a place where you can calm down and be at peace.

When a peaceful and relaxing environment is created, it helps the mind relax even faster.

I’ve spent many hours looking over the internet to bring you ideas and resources that can help you create your peaceful meditation space. Not only externally, but also inwardly. I’ve been able to see what are the different meditation spaces, supplies, meditations, courses, etc. that can help you achieve a sense of peace in your life. That’s why I have over 2 million monthly views on Pinterest.

Meditation is about going within, and finding that sense of peace and tranquility that you can take with you throughout the day. When you meditate not only are you more happy, but you also affect those people around you.

If you are going through a rough season in your life, hang in there you are not alone! I know it’s tough. Use this pain and suffering as a fuel to work on yourself so you can overcome the challenges life will constantly throw at you.

I was molested by my grandfather when I was 8 years old. I kept this as a secret for many years, until I saw that another family member was in danger of being molested by him also a few years ago. Instead of getting support from my family, I was rejected and some of them turned their backs on me because I opened my mouth.

From this I learned the hard truth, that happiness cannot come from people or external conditions. I had to seek answers in a different way. Meditation and my spiritual journey have been healing sources to help me heal from this, and other traumatic experiences in my life.

That’s why I created this website. Not only do I want to help you create a beautiful, relaxing meditation/yoga space at home. But I also want to give you some wisdom and resources to help you on your inner journey.

I don’t have all the answers. But I’m a candle, and want to shed some much needed truth into our world. So my approach on my posts is very straight forward. Because I don’t want to give you B.S. but just tell you the truth. You deserve that.

You also deserve to be happy! We have been conditioned that life is stagnant, and that if you are suffering it always has to stay the same…Not true!

Your life can change for the better. Who you are right now, does not have to be the same person a year from now.

You are worthy of getting unconditional love from the universe. You can also be a candle that can help others when they are going through bad times. You have many gifts, and if you look closely you can share them with the world.

Feel the peace…

Meditation has helped me tremendously in my life. If I didn’t meditate every day, I would have probably gone crazy by now! I know how it is to have a very uncontrolled mind, which makes your emotions and thoughts go on a roller coaster ride.

Meditation brings these thoughts into alignment for a peaceful state of mind. I want you to have that same sense of peace that I experience when I meditate.

You are a very unique person who has infinite potential for deep happiness and inner peace.
