Today I want to share with you 10 reasons for starting an at home yoga for beginners so you can be more relaxed.

Yoga has so many great benefits: it helps reduce stress, makes you more flexible and it can help you sleep better, etc.

I think that privacy is a big one for many of us. When you are first starting out, it can be very challenging to do different poses.

For example if you are struggling with balance you can just go to a wall or grab a chair. If you fall down, no need to worry about landing on someone else in class.

There are also some poses that cause a lot of bending, don’t be surprise that you may let out some gas…not to worry if this happens when you are home by yourself…the dog won’t tell on you. 😉

Yoga pants can be very comfortable when doing yoga. It allows extra space and helps with bending. However, I always felt self conscious that some guy was going to be staring at my butt in class, at home no more worries.

Also, if you choose, you can wear panties with your yoga pants and not worry about showing panty lines…many usually wear thongs or just wear nothing under their yoga pants at a studio.

6. Save Gas with at home yoga for beginners

Not everyone is lucky to have a yoga studio nearby their homes. That means you’ll have to drive to a different part of town and spend more money on gas.

Also, depending where you are going (to a downtown studio for example), you may also need to pay for parking. Hopefully there is good weather and not a strong rainfall or snow falling.

7. Save Time

When you practice at home, you can literally roll out of bed and not get ready. Just put your hair on a ponytail, and change to something more comfortable if you choose to.

Just roll out your yoga mat and watch your favorite video.

8. No need to wear fancy outfits

At home you can just wear what ever is most comfortable. You can wear the same yoga pants (sweats or pajamas) 5 times in a row without feeling that you are being judge for wearing the same outfit again.

…I know that feeling from first experience. I went to a yoga studio to relax, and someone was looking at me from head to toe, almost to see if I was “worthy” to be there…You don’t need to put up with that nonsense at home.

  • Can wear whatever your want without being judged
  • There is no need to worry about being embarrassed
  • Can download it and see it anywhere on your favorite devices
  • Get a wide variety of poses and wisdom from different teachers

All of these reasons can really help when you are just starting out. The hardest part is not “learning”, but actually able to stick to it.
